Why ride with us

Local knowledge, serious fun

Routes worth remembering

We ride the quiet side of Erg Chebbi — dune crests, flat desert tracks and viewpoints most tours drive straight past.

Safety before speed

A briefing before you start, helmets for everyone, a guide who stays with the group and a pace matched to the least confident rider.

Born in the desert

We are a Merzouga family business. Our guides grew up between Erg Chebbi and Khamlia and read the sand the way you read a street map.

Merzouga quad tour FAQ

Do I need experience to ride a quad in Merzouga?

No. Most of our riders have never driven a quad before. The guide gives a full briefing, you practise on flat ground first, and the pace is set by the least confident rider in the group.

Do I need a driving licence?

No driving licence is required for our guided quad tours. Drivers must be at least 16 years old, and passengers must be at least 5.

How much does a quad tour in Merzouga cost?

A 1-hour guided tour is €35 for a single quad and €55 for a double quad. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and includes fuel, guide, helmet and water. Longer routes are quoted on request.

Is hotel pickup included?

Yes. We pick you up from your hotel, riad or camp in the Merzouga area and bring you back after the ride at no extra cost.

What is the best time of day to ride?

Sunrise and late afternoon are the most comfortable and the most photogenic. In summer we avoid the middle of the day; in winter, mid-morning rides are pleasant.

What should I wear?

Closed shoes, long trousers and sunglasses. We supply the helmet, plus goggles when the wind picks up and gloves in winter. A scarf for your face is always a good idea.

Can children join?

Yes. Children aged 5 and over can ride as passengers on a double quad with an adult driver.

How do I book?

Message us on WhatsApp with your date, time and group size. We reply with availability, the total price and your pickup time. No prepayment is required.

Free pickup

Most riders never need to find us — we come to you. If you prefer to arrive on your own, our base is easy to reach from the Merzouga road.

  • A helmet for every driver and passenger, worn for the whole ride
  • Goggles during windy weather and sandstorms
  • Gloves in winter
  • Bottled water on every departure
  • Maintained quads checked before each tour

We had a great time with Hassan! The ATV was easy to operate and he was patient when we had difficulties going up steeper dunes. We caught a beautiful sunrise and had the chance to do sandboarding too!
What a lovely experience! We did the sunset quad ride and it was amazing. Our guide Hassan was so nice, and we also did sandboarding before we headed back.
Amazing experience! Definitely try to go during sunrise. The gentlemen are very attentive to safety and the riders and will be accommodating.
An absolutely fantastic way to experience the desert, a unique and incredibly fun adventure. The staff is very reliable, extremely helpful, and incredibly kind.
Hasan is a really nice guy. It was such a special experience for us. We recommend doing the quad tour with him.
The ATVs were such great quality and going through the dunes was amazing. We even got to stop for some sandboarding!
